ALROSA diamond sales fall 35% to $2.2 bln in January–August
MOSCOW, Sep 10 (PRIME) -- Russian uncut diamond mining giant ALROSA’s sales of rough and polished diamonds fell about 35% on the year to U.S. $2.164 billion in January–August, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
Sales of rough diamonds amounted to $2.129 billion and of polished diamonds stood at $34.6 million.
In August, the company’s sales amounted to $181.8 million, including $180.2 million of rough diamonds and $1.5 million of polished diamonds.
